The database „Language consultations: an electronic database” gives the opportunity to search for both questions and sources by typing the query in the searching field, or also to choose from the searching options either only questions, or only authors. The user could also choose a relevant filter near the menu „Meklēt” („Search”). On the first page of the answers found are shown up to five questions and 10 sources.&#13;
&#13;
The linguists of the Latvian Language Agency (LLA) answer to countless questions about the language electronically, by phone or on site on a daily basis. The application „Language consultations: an electronic database” has been created as a repository of frequently asked questions and their already existing answers.&#13;
The aim of the database is to make the content user-friendly. The latter consists of: answers to relevant questions about the Latvian language correct pronunciation and spelling, grammar and vocabulary, stylistics, and linguistic culture.

The application „Rendering of personal names in Latvian” is electronic multilingual dictionary of names. Currently information about rendering of personal names and versions of rendering, rules of rendering and further reading about 28 languages can be found on this web-site. &#13;
The dictionary is based on the principles of rendering of proper names published since the 1960's.&#13;
Rendering of foreign personal names is defined by State Language Law and Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers, No.114 „Regulations Regarding the Written Form and Use in the Latvian Language of Personal Names, and also Identification Thereof” (02.03.2004.).

„The Linguistic Map” has been designed as an electronic informative learning aid, providing an overview of the history of Latvian linguistics and delving into its chronology and themes as well as its branches, sub-branches, and the individuals involved in this work.&#13;
„The Linguistic Map” currently contains entries about individuals, events, places, periodicals, and corpora. The information is supplemented with rich illustrative material (audio and video, images, and language examples). 12 themed tourist trails within Latvia are also described.

<summary type="text">Estonian-Latvian dictionary

This dictionary was created totally anew and today serves as an up-to-date and richly illustrated assistant to translators from the Estonian language and to learners of both the languages. Dictionary was created by using samples from contemporary language, as well as the corpus of Estonian language currently under construction by the Tartu University (Estonia), latest publications on Estonian language norms and other contemporary research material. Dictionary includes a rich collection of contemporary words and lexical units, that often come up in translation context. Also many new words from contemporary Latvian language have for the first time been included in this dictionary.
